Ellu Podi, or sesame chutney powder, is a flavourful South Indian condiment made from roasted sesame seeds and spices. This dry-roasted powder adds a nutty, aromatic twist to any meal.

  •  Mix 1-2 tablespoons of The Iyer Paati’s Ellu Rice Mix Podi with hot rice and a spoon of ghee or sesame oil. You can optionally add a tempering of mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves to enhance the flavour. Enjoy with appalam or curd for a complete comfort meal.
  • The powder can also be used with a dollop of ghee or sesame oil; to eat alongside south Indian breakfast items like Idlis and Dosas.
